How would you describe your kitchen?
It’s beautiful and we love it! Everything is built in and looks just like cabinetry, we don’t see any real appliances--they did a beautiful job of wrapping the kitchen in cabinets. I get a ton of compliments on our refrigerator-- never realized that a refrigerator could be pretty!
What was the design process like? It was easy! We met with them several times, it was a fun, creative process. In each meeting, they put the design up on a big screen, went through it with us. They kept it (the process) fun and creative and took everything we wanted and put it down on paper.
What was your favorite part of working with Kitty and Chris? The relationship we had with them was fun! It was a good working relationship between all of us.
What is the best part of having your dream kitchen? Entertaining. Having people enjoy it as much as we do.

What are the unique features of your kitchen? Microwave drawer, trash can touch to open with knee.

What was the design process like? For those of us who have a hard time visualizing, looking at a floorplan just isn't enough. We appreciated seeing computer renderings of Chris' design. He pays a lot of attention to detail and is a total perfectionist, if something isn't right, he takes care of it before I can even think of it! That's what makes him different. Kitchen Concepts were able to meet our timeline and deadlines, even though my husband kept adding more things for them to do. They made the whole process fun, especially Kitty!
What are the unique features of your kitchen? We have many: a curved island, a wine cooler, trash can you open with your knee. Two touch faucets, a warming drawer, and even though most people get wooden oven hoods, I wanted metal. It has a cool kind of copper finis. Our microwave drawer which is low enough to the ground that the kids can use it without burning themselves. We have a really cool customized mosaic backsplash from Ravina Mosaics. The most unique feature are the complementary colors of cabinets and countertops.
What is the best part of having your dream kitchen? For us, the best part is the improved traffic flow when we have parties.
Have you/would you recommend KCDS to friends and family? Kitchen Concepts Design Studio also did our outdoor kitchen, bar, and bathroom! They're redoing our back patio right now. Yes, I would recommend them! In fact, we just had a party for Homes in Harmony home tour which is a fundraiser for musicians...we had a jazz keyboardist and bassist in our basement. I made Kitty bring me some Kitchen Concepts signs to put up. Everyone asked to take photos of the kitchen and just thought it was all so cool!
